The Agape Garden of Dix Hills UMC is an ​outreach to the community, providing fresh produce through a local food pantry.

Started in 2012 with two raised beds, the garden expanded to six beds in 2020.   

With the new fence put up in 2024 by the scouts of BSA Troop 309, Dix Hills, our new garden is approximately 2500 square feet which will increase our yield dramatically.

Over the years we have delivered to the Helping 
Hands Mission in Huntington Station, tomatoes, peppers, beans, kale, carrots, radishes, collards, parsley, basil, eggplants and cucumbers.

   Several times we have delivered clothes and household items to Savers Thrift Store in Commack, NY.
​
​This fund-raiser helps support the work of the church, provides economical items to the community, repurposes usable goods which benefits the environment, and reduces the amount of items sent to the landfill.

Special Sundays:

• On the FIRST Sunday of each month we celebrate Holy Communion. ​
• The FOURTH Sunday of the month is Youth Sunday, when young people are encouraged to take a special part in the worship service.  Go to the Dix Hills News page to see pictures from Youth Sunday.
• The FIFTH Sunday, when there is one, is set aside for a Healing and Anointing Service.

Driving north on Deer Park Ave from Rt 495 you see this sign.

Then you drive up a long hill.

At the top of the hill, you turn left and see these signs.

Or, driving west on Vanderbilt Parkway, just before Deer Park Ave., you see this sign.

You drive down to the end of Candlewood Path.

You turn left when you see this sign.

You drive into the parking lot and see these signs.

After you park, you look for this sign over the door.

You walk through the door and feel completely welcomed, no matter what your background!
