The Agape Garden of Dix Hills UMC is an outreach to the community, providing fresh produce through a local food pantry.

Started in 2012 with two raised beds, the garden expanded to six beds in 2020.

With the new fence put up in 2024 by the scouts of BSA Troop 309, Dix Hills, our new garden is approximately 2500 square feet which will increase our yield dramatically.

In 2026 two additional Eagle Scout projects were completed.  A set of 3 compost bins allows us to recycle leaves, kitchen scraps and yard waste to create organic material to use in future years.
Two raised beds allow people to participate in the garden even if they have difficulty bending over.

Over the years we have delivered to the Helping Hand Mission in Huntington Station, tomatoes, peppers, beans, kale, carrots, radishes, collards, parsley, basil, eggplants and cucumbers.

See updates on the garden's Facebook page
